Based on Carl Jung’s
work “Psychological Types” (published in 1920), two
American women (mother and daughter), Kathryn Myers and Isabel
Briggs, formulated a questionnaire which enabled the identification
of 16 personality types.
The types differ fundamentally between the way people
- perceive the world (of people, things and ideas) around them,
and then
- make judgements about what has been perceived
These differences will then affect their behaviour.
Identification of your type is a starting point to recognise
your unique set of gifts and how they differ from the gifts of
those with whom you live and work.
Used in a coaching context, clients are able to learn more about
how they perceive and judge the world around them and how this
relates to their future path.
